The Northern Vermont Artist Association was founded in 1930, by a group of Burlington, VT., artists, making it one of VT's oldest continuing art organizations. Membership to the NVAA is open to any visual artist, working in any media, who lives in Vermont, anywhere between Middlebury and the Canadian Border. Membership is non juried, and the dues are $15 annually (our dues year runs from Jan. 1st through Dec. 31st.)    It has been my privilege to serve as the president of the NVAA since 1995.

Membership entitles artists to participate in all N.V.A.A. events, including: A Non-Juried Group Show at the Old Red Mill Gallery, in Jericho in Aug. and Sept.  Two weekend group shows at the University Mall in So. Burlington, one in the Fall, the other in the Spring, A Non-Juried Group Show at the Union Station Gallery in Burlington in Oct. The Annual Pot Luck Supper & Membership Slide Show in Nov  and, of course, our most famous event, the annual June Juried Show, at the Bryan Memorial Gallery, in Jeffersonville.  Members also receive our newsletter, containing info about art opportunities and exhibits in the region.

Members may also sign up for solo art shows at various venues that have arranged for the NVAA to provide them with artwork, such as the Sneakers Bistro in Winooski.
