"HALAL SILKS for Exuberant Worship!"

All Halal Silks Are One of a Kind. You will never see my signature, but you will know it is a "HALAL SILK " , because It will touch your spirit. The Lord admonished me to NEVER sign my name upon these silk creations for they are Holy to Him. Each One Bears a Meaning . The Lord specifically names each silk when it is completed. I was guided by the Holy Spirit to use the word "Halal" as the name for my unique silks. "HALAL" in Hebrew means Exuberant Worship or Praise! God revealed this Hebraic name to me, in an amazing way, from Psalm 149. I then had 3 divine confirmations in a 24 hour period.

WHAT ARE HALAL SILKS USED FOR? "Halal Silks" are for use in personal and corporate Worship, Prayer, in Messianic or Liturgical Dance, as head coverings, or for prayer shawls. They are excellent for Passover, or Shabbat, for times of Communion. They make lovely gifts for special times in life like birthdays or protocol gifts for speakers. They are wonderful gifts of lavish encouragement to those who are suffering or in grief. They are Lighter than Air~ use as a wave offering! For women who are being drawn into deeper intimacy, covering yourself with Silk is a prayerful gesture of trusting calm when you pray. The average size of the silk is 8" x54" but other sizes are available upon custom order. Silk is a Prophetic fabric, being symbolic of the death and resurrection of Jesus , Our Messiah. ( His name is Yeshua in Hebrew). The talent to do this Art form is divinely inspired ~ I have had No formal training, except to sit as Esther did, waiting before the KING !

THE PROCESS... Before I begin, I pray over the pure white silk and in a serene setting , I await the directions from the Master. He Inspires me at each step from how to manipulate the silk, how to mix the colors, & timings along each step and even when to rinse the silk! Due to the nature of the techniques used, these silks are unable to be totally duplicated because at any point in the process the dyes can shift and change. So, It is always a joy to handwash the silk at its completion. Many times I have No idea what the silk will look like as i work on a piece, until it is rinsed and ironed... amazingly at that point, of total unveiling and newness...God gives me an original name for the piece. I then pray and anoint the silk with oil, speaking blessings for the person who will receive it. The dyes I use are fiber reactive, and bind to the silk fibers in a molecular way. I pray HE will change even the molecules of the wearer for restoration, rest, encouragement and Hope. I love to do commissions, because I can pray along the process for whatever other prayer request the wearer has. I believe that the REcreation process is a gift from God. So, when I create Halal Silk Art to Worship God ~ it is my prayer that the art will help the person it is intended for in the way they need it most.

WHY CREATE ART IN THIS MANNER? I feel that God is restoring the Arts and Artisans Work to be used for Worship, as God did before, in the Tabernacle of David. I believe the New Move of God in this upcoming Revival will feature powerfully anointed art of all kinds, never before seen creations, to heal the sick, deliver and restore the broken. I believe that if we artists will just utterly dedicate our talents to God, and permit Him to fully move through us, we shall create Powerful works that will transform Humanity. I give the Lord, Our Messiah, Glory and Praise for the talent He entrusts to me. For, I only REcreate what the Trinity has already Created! He is vastly interesting and the most Creative Person I know! There have been times when He showed me the person the silk was to belong to as I created it. Therefore, I have given many silk scarves away because i must be obedient to what He tells me to do.But He always blesses me when I do!

OTHER ART I CREATE... I also create Handmade Paper from recycled materials, Collage Art & other Altered Art (such as Tag Art.) I believe my art should bring Honor to God and healing and hope to the viewer. It is my prayer that as you use my silks and view my art that you will be drawn deeper into worship, intimacy with God, & enter a new realm of Restoration. By the Way, this page's background is a silk that GOD created. I was tired and prayed, and He guided me how to just pour on the dyes at the end of the day. It is called " Glory Fire" .

PERSONALLY ABOUT ME...My 50 year journey has been very difficult, long and painful, ( see my links page for specific links to medical help for these issues). God has helped me to endure some of the suffering by using the creative process and this brings me joy. I have struggled with Trigeminal Neuralgia and other Neuralgias ,Migraines, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatique Syndrome, Infant losses , and over 35 hospitalizations for multiple Medical issues. I feel that many artists are suffering because they hear a CALL, from God and the enemy is trying to hinder them from creating this new Restoration art. We must stand united in hope to breakthrough to healing and wholeness.
